About The Position

Envision Imaging of North Fort Worth is looking to add a PRN Patient Service Representative to our team! This PRN (As-Needed) position has a pay range of $17.70 - $21.30. There is an opportunity to attend a 2-week training, should your schedule allow. The Patient Service Representative (PSR) focuses on the delivery of patient care and facilitates the needs of the physician. The role emphasizes direct patient interaction, ensuring patients feel prioritized and well-cared for. The PSR provides spectacular service by attending to patient needs and performs administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, patient check-in/out, and scheduling appointments. Responsibilities also include entering charges, verifying insurance coverage, receiving payments, and issuing receipts. The role supports company initiatives by adopting new approaches, practices, and processes to deliver unmistakable quality, spectacular service, and operational excellence consistently.

Requirements

  • One plus year of experience providing exceptional customer service – healthcare environment preferred
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Answers inbound calls to the Center, providing a friendly and warm greeting.
  • Checks scheduled patients in/out and ensures proper documentation is received.
  • Collects co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Listens to and resolves patient, provider, and customer complaints, escalating as needed.
  • Ensures accurate data entry for patient registration.
  • Assists with medical records.
  • Processes all queues in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Manages eRIS Center workflow, including daily schedule, billing, priors grid, delinquent exams, waitlist, report delivery, and TOS collection.
  • Stays informed about carrier-related issues and identifies carrier-specific concerns.
  • Monitors schedule to ensure all data, attachments, and history are complete before an exam is finalized.
  • Facilitates no-show appointments by calling patients, cancelling, and rescheduling.
  • Reschedules and cancels appointments as needed/directed.
  • Monitors the waiting room to minimize wait times and assist patients.
  • Requests orders and processes new/same-day requests.
  • Requests patients complete a satisfaction survey after their exam.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
