This position is a key point of contact for patients and provides patients and guests with a positive customer service experience from start to finish during their visit. The role ensures patients have a positive experience during their visit, whether in-person, telehealth, and/or over the phone. It involves regular communication with clinical staff to ensure patient and office needs are met, and collaboration with the team to create a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include greeting patients, completing check-in procedures, registration, data entry of patient information, insurance verification, and collecting payments. The role also handles answering phone calls and email inquiries, directing or escalating them as needed, and contacting patients for appointment reminders or scheduling. Additionally, it involves completing various clerical tasks such as distributing mail, filing, scanning, data input, managing electronic fax inboxes, and providing general support to office personnel. Ensuring the confidentiality of patient data and staying up-to-date with HIPAA regulations is crucial.
