About The Position

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is a recognized healthcare provider in the communities of Moore County, Lee County, Cumberland County, Chatham County, and the surrounding six counties. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two-year experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience acting as a liaison between patients and medical support staff by greeting, instructing, and directing patients and visitors.
  • Perform various tasks such as entering all patient demographics, insurance information, and collection of payments upon check-in/out or when scheduling an appointment.
  • Schedule patient appointments for both established and, when appropriate, new patients.
  • Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner; answer requests for information.
  • Check in patients, verify and update necessary information, then acknowledge patients and check patients out. Assure that patients are kept apprised of the physician’s timetable in the event it will increase the patient’s waiting time.
  • Advise patients regarding certain financial obligations including but not limited to co-payments, deductible amounts, insurance eligibility, etc.
  • Maintain the lobby in a neat and orderly manner including keeping magazines current.
  • Maintain and coordinate the physicians’ schedules, having a thorough knowledge of physician specialties and medical practices.
  • Answer telephones and return calls in a timely manner, taking messages, handling requests, and providing accurate information as necessary.
  • Handle mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, assuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.
