About The Position

They are a partner of choice for health systems and radiologists, known for clinical excellence, operations, and state-of-the-art technology. American Health Imaging is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative Supervisor in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients, families, and visitors, and performing duties such as interviewing patients for demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying insurance, explaining financial responsibility, and collecting same-day payments.

Requirements

  • 1-4 Years Experience in Medical Office/Hospital/Healthcare Setting
  • Ability to Handle Heavy Patient Volume
  • Strong Customer Service and Computer Skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Authorizations and Insurance Verification Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors
  • Interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
  • Verifying patient insurance
  • Explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative
  • Collecting same-day payments
  • Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
  • Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones
  • Monitors and approves timecards
  • Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and on-going development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/ or terminations when necessary
  • Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
  • Develops and monitors the teams’ performance through a QA process
  • Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage (5%)
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
