Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative for our Primary Care Partners office, located at 13303 Tesson Ferry Road! Summary: The Patient Service Representative will primarily be responsible for answering the telephones, scheduling patient appointments and providing patients with test results. The Patient Service Representative must project a positive image at all times when interacting with patients, co-workers and external vendors. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
• ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls
• ability to communicate effectively with patients, both on the telephone and in person, including patients who are angry or upset
• ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• ability to sit at a desk and answer the telephone/perform data entry up to 8 hours a day
• proficient with Windows-based PC environment

Nice To Haves

• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
