The role is PRN (As-Needed), typically requiring 16–32 hours per week, and is vital for providing essential coverage and support during staff leaves or high-volume periods. The position is based exclusively at the Dearborn Office and involves flexible weekly hours based on clinic needs and staff coverage requirements, with standard clinic hours being Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This role serves as a key resource for the front-office team, supporting smooth office flow, resolving patient inquiries, and applying skills in patient registration, insurance verification (HMO, PPO, Medicare), and seamless scheduling. The Patient Service Representative II ensures the highest level of customer service and care, is knowledgeable in non-clinical support, and acts as a resource to other patient services staff on complex issues. They coordinate clerical tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients, and scheduling appointments, and manage the intake and checkout process including registration, scanning, filing, and collecting payments. They may also process referrals and charge entries, ensuring all procedures are followed for a seamless patient experience.
