About The Position

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) who is passionate about the patient experience. This role is primarily responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing appointment check-in, registration, eligibility verification, co-payment collection, and check-out. The PSR II must communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse populations, ensuring a welcoming and sensitive environment.

Requirements

  • At least one year in a customer-facing role in any service-related industry.
  • Sliding fee scale experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, or English/Russian, is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Work at the front desk and serve as the primary greeter for patients and visitors.
  • Create a welcoming environment for all individuals entering the facility.
  • Assist patients with appointment check-in, registration, eligibility verification, co-payment collection, and check-out.
  • Communicate with people of various diverse backgrounds.
  • Ensure all patients are treated in a sensitive and compassionate way.
