About The Position

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) seeks a full-time, proactive, customer-service-driven PSR to join our NEW fast-paced Olympia Eastside clinic. Requirements

Knowledge of insurance and the verification process.
Knowledge of computer programs.
Knowledge of business office procedures.
Ability to operate a computer, scanner, fax/copy, and basic office equipment.
Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
Effective oral and written communication with patients, staff, insurers, and referral sources.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize Tasks.

Responsibilities

Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services.
Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling
Receive incoming patient phone calls.
Verify insurance and obtain any required authorizations.
Build and maintain all patient charts.
Collect any outstanding patient payments, balance the money nightly, and print reports.
Maintain daily statistical log sheets that include all follow-ups.
Pull charts for the next day’s appointments and make reminder calls.
Work on the patient issue listing and task list daily to resolve all issues.
Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve all patient matters.
Open and sort mail daily.
Perform other related duties as required.
Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
