About The Position

The Patient Service Representative will assist patients in obtaining services, understanding policies, and making health care decisions. Verify medical insurance and ensure payment due at time of service is collected. Always maintain a clean and neat appearance. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent active listening skills and a strong service orientation.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Detail and multitask oriented.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in clerical support.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides front office registration duties such as collecting patient demographic information, inputting insurance information, verifying benefits, and acquiring signatures on ER consent forms.
  • Enters all patient information into the EHR and billing software and completes the records by scanning all signed documents and medical reports in patient files.
  • PSR will maintain and file the patient's records for a set period as required by DSHS in the appropriate area.
  • Provides medical records to other providers as requested; upon completion of authorization to release information signed by the patient.
  • Properly logs payment and cash receipts as required thru Square while maintaining the cash drawer during shift.
  • Maintains accurate records for the billing office through the payment log regarding TOS payments and payer information.
  • Responsible for complying with all privacy and security laws and internal policies and procedures.
  • Play an active role in protecting the company's sensitive data and ensuring that our patient's information is treated with the utmost care and confidence.
  • Responsible for reporting any concerns or infractions that you become aware of so that the company may appropriately address them.
  • Responsible for protecting the credentials provided to you to access Company (and customer, where applicable) networks, systems, and data.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data to which you are granted access.
  • Any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data must be reported to Management immediately.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and support standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
  • Alert management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
  • Required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
