The representative must ensure compliance with government regulations such as HIPAA, EMTALA, and others by obtaining required signatures and forms. They may also be involved in scheduling appointments and providing detailed information to patients about preparations and procedures. A key aspect of the role is creating a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, answering telephones, and offering assistance to patients. The representative will also manage electronic health record work queues according to departmental processes.
