About The Position
This role is for a float pool of patient service professionals who will deliver exceptional customer service wherever needed within the Michigan City area. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a variety of different practices, meeting new teams, and providing compassionate, joyful care. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Customer Service
- 1 year Healthcare
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare or medical office experience is preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Seeking someone who communicates well, works collaboratively with the team, remains positive in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable providing a welcoming experience for patients both in person and over the phone.
Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary customer service; greet and direct patients, family members, and other visitors.
- Answer incoming calls; respond to inquiries, or direct caller to appropriate staff for assistance.
- Schedule appointments and accurately enters data into scheduling system.
- Register patients and enters or updates demographic and insurance information into EMR system.
- Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow and update waiting patients.
- Collect patient payments; applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
