Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs all clerical business functions in a medical office, clinic or ambulatory setting. This role involves securing and verifying patient demographic and insurance information, performing telephone triage, scheduling appointments and procedures, collecting payments, organizing patient charts, entering billing charges, and performing some patient care duties as outlined in a department addendum. The position also includes managing office supplies, performing receptionist and file clerk duties, and potentially floating to other departments based on staffing needs.
