Requirements

  • Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field.
  • Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a pleasant demeanor.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
  • Must be computer literate and have accuracy in keyboarding skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous front office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients with using Kiosks and/or complete sign-in.
  • Responsible for reviewing patient arrival time and communicating with clinic staff for late arrivals.
  • Responsible for monitoring wait times for patients in the lobby.
  • Assists with answering phones and ensuring phone requests are handled promptly and by protocol.
  • Schedule appointments by phone and by incoming referrals.
  • Enters demographic information into the practice management system.
  • Position requires cross-training to serve as back-up for other positions in the department.
