Requirements

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.
Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field.
Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
Excellent customer service.
Ability to multitask and maintain a pleasant demeanor.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
Must be computer literate and have accuracy in keyboarding skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous front office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients with using Kiosks and/or complete sign-in.
Responsible for reviewing patient arrival time and communicating with clinic staff for late arrivals.
Responsible for monitoring wait times for patients in the lobby.
Assists with answering phones and ensuring phone requests are handled promptly and by protocol.
Schedule appointments by phone and by incoming referrals.
Enters demographic information into the practice management system.
Position requires cross-training to serve as back-up for other positions in the department.
