The Patient Service Associate is responsible for the registration and scheduling process for complex patients. This role involves updating the system with registration, scheduling, and insurance information, and preparing patient disability and out-of-work/school paperwork. The associate will discuss financial obligations, explain regulatory forms, and answer related questions. They will work in multiple systems during patient-facing interactions and telephone call receipts to ensure accurate registration and support clinical workflow. This position also requires understanding the practice and hospital's strategic plan, supporting policies and procedures, and representing Albany Medical Center by exemplifying guiding principles and championing an optimal patient experience. Ensuring patient and employee safety is a top priority, including promoting a safe environment and reporting issues.
