About The Position

Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and treatment services, and classes provided by Prisma Health. This is a full-time, day shift position where the employee will float between locations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Proficient in use of telephone equipment, voicemail, and Windows

Nice To Haves

• Medical office, multi-physician practice, or in-patient medical unit experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures or classes.
• Sequences multiple tests/procedures as needed.
• Gathers all required patient demographic, clinical and financial information.
• Coordinates appointments and classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff.
• Coordinates physician scheduling with the on-call schedulers.
• Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling.
• Communicates with physician office representatives in a professional and efficient manner.
