About The Position
This role is for a Patient Scheduler Coordinator at the Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group - Advanced Brain and Spine Institute in Pensacola, FL. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with day shifts. The coordinator will be responsible for managing patient schedules and referrals, ensuring accurate entry of information into the electronic medical system, and adhering to site-specific protocols.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Previous referral experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduling and referrals to other healthcare providers and services.
- Obtain approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate.
- Assist with maintenance and updating of provider contact information.
- Ensure that all medical appointments, special instructions and patient information is entered into electronic medical system.
- Follow site-specific protocols and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance.
