About The Position

Here at AO Multispecialty Clinic, the Patient Scheduler at Check Out serves as a receptionist for all exiting patients. A Patient Scheduler checks patients out, schedules their future appointments and other ancillary appointments, and can often serve as a liaison between the patient and the provider.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patience and compassion
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of medical office experience preferred
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Check out patients
  • Schedule follow-up and outside referral appointments for patients (scans, etc)
  • Give patient copy of appointments made and/or Visit Summary
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Reschedule appointments as needed
  • Fill in for Patient Registration at Check-In as needed
