The Risk Investigator assists in the assessment, review, analysis, and support for the organization's risk management activities, which include coordinating activities of the program on a day-to-day basis, participating and conducting Root Cause Analysis, presenting risk management educational programs, and complying with the CMS Conditions of Participation (CoP's), The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies risk management-related standards, with the objective of controlling and minimizing risk and loss to protect patients and the organization. As part of the risk management program assists and supports the system for tracking, categorizing, and responding to patient complaints as well as processing and follow up with the Occurrence Reporting Process.
