About The Position
Under the direction of the Manager of Float Pool, Clinical House, and unit-based licensed nursing staff, the Patient Safety Companion/CO is utilized to sit with patients who are experiencing situations including but not limited to: suicide potential, potential to harm self or others, restless and/or confused. The safety companion is to maintain continuous visual observation of the patient.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- All sitters must maintain yearly training requirements.
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification
