About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Patient Safety Companion to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis. The Patient Safety Companion plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by providing continuous observation and support, preventing harm, and promoting a secure environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one observation and companionship to patients requiring enhanced safety measures.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns promptly to the healthcare team.
• Assist patients with mobility and basic needs as appropriate, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Maintain a safe environment by identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to support patient care plans.
• Document observations and activities accurately in accordance with facility policies.
