About The Position
The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to provide a safe environment for patients, serving as an alternative to restraints. The role involves constant and alert observation of assigned patients to prevent harm to themselves or others, and to prevent elopement. The PSA is expected to embody the organization's values of putting patient needs first and demonstrating relationship-based care through daily actions.
