About The Position

As a patient safety attendant at MercyOne, you will be responsible for proactively ensuring and maintaining patient safety and security under the direction of Registered Nurse. Observes and monitors safety and comfort of non-suicidal, suicidal and patients who require frequent or continual observation and contact, due to psychiatric, medical and/or safety reasons. MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is the largest employer in the region with more than 3,000 colleagues and a medical staff of almost 500 physicians and allied health professionals. MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 342 bed, regional referral teaching hospital in Mason City, Iowa. MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center is an 11 bed, rural access hospital in New Hampton, Iowa. Requirements

CPI certification required; must be obtained with 6 months of hire.
Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.
