About The Position
This position will effectively maintain the safety for assigned patients through continuous observation and surveillance. The Patient Safety Assistant communicates with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to ensure a safe environment for medical patients requiring constant observation. Duties are completed as assigned under the direct supervision of the RN.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients and families
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Flexibility and ability to remain alert to safety issues
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous patient sitter experience
Responsibilities
