About The Position

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Patient Representative for a one-day hiring event. This is a hybrid opportunity, starting with 6 months of on-site work at the hospital in Miami Beach, followed by remote work. The role involves supporting patients by handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and utilizing call center systems. The Patient Representative will provide empathetic service, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to schedule expectations. The position offers a base salary plus monthly and quarterly incentive programs.

Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
High School diploma.
1 year of experience in a Contact Center or similar role.
Excellent communication skills.
Adept at computer software including office automation tools.
Track record of outstanding customer service.

Some knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare operations desired.

Responsibilities

Follow prescribed call flow for routine scheduling calls.
Demonstrate proper etiquette when receiving, transferring, or placing calls on hold.
Understand the importance of empathy in patient interactions.
Demonstrate basic facility with technology systems in making appointments.
Consistently demonstrate compliance with workflow processes such as wrap codes, CRM, notes, and messages.
Make appointments with the right physician within the right timeframe for a majority of appointments.
Demonstrate understanding of the escalation process for appointments.
Accept quality assurance feedback and understand improvement opportunities.
Always act professionally.
Adhere to schedule and be reliable with attendance.
