About The Position

Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics specializes in Pediatric Orthopedics, providing expert care and compassionate support to young patients and their families. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional orthopedic services tailored to the unique needs of children. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Representative to serve as a vital point of contact for patients and their families within our pediatric orthopedic pratice. The ideal candidate will posses strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems. As a Patient Representative, you will facilitate patient interactions, manage medical documentation, and ensure a seamless experience for all vistors and callers, supporting our mission to deliver outstanding patient care. You will enjoy an eight week paid training program to insure you are prepared to confidently complete the tasks within your position.

Requirements

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems
  • Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office and EMR/EHR management software
  • HIPAA confidentiality policies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth; or other EHR systems
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience, and office management tasks
  • Bilingual abilities

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional front desk customer service while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Verify insurance information and assist with health insurance inquiries, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies.
  • Assist patients with medical billing process, including collection of payments and explanation of billing statements.
  • Maintain knowledge of health information management pratices, medical terminology, and clinic procedures to provide accurate assistance.
