About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration Representative to join our healthcare team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in patient registration, patient access, front office, medical reception, or healthcare customer service.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and patient intake processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) preferred.

• Experience handling admissions paperwork and consent forms.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Register patients and accurately enter demographic information into the system.
• Verify patient and visitor identity by collecting required information and photo identification.
• Discuss financial responsibility with patients, including self-pay options and available assistance programs.
• Explain consent forms and obtain required signatures.
• Distribute and collect admission and registration paperwork.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, registration, and general inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients, visitors, and clinical staff.
