About The Position

TekSystems is hiring a Patient Registration Representative for a large healthcare system in Indianapolis! This role is responsible for the delivery of patient-facing services, facilitating patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The representative will interview patients or their representatives to confirm demographic, financial, and clinical information, perform insurance eligibility verification for specific services, and maintain a customer focus during phone conversations. Additionally, they will greet patients and business partners with professionalism and courteousness, facilitate copay collection conversations, and ensure complete and accurate demographic collection in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service
  • Adaptable (for example; open to working different registration departments which they could be asked to do in some situations)
  • Attention to detail with data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, peers and superiors on a daily basis
  • Ability to think quickly and react professionally
  • Empathy skills
