About The Position

Warm Valley Health Care is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Patient Registration/Receptionist to join their team. This role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, aiming to create a positive, respectful, and culturally responsive healthcare experience. The position is within the Patient Access team and involves serving the community in a supportive, mission-driven environment that honors Native traditions and values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of customer service or front office experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
  • Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Successfully pass the employment background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or medical office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
  • Familiarity with Native American cultures and communities

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
  • Register patients and accurately enter demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
  • Answer and route incoming calls efficiently
  • Ensure patient forms are complete and properly documented in the EHR
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Support clinic flow by coordinating with clinical staff
  • Perform general administrative duties (filing, faxing, scanning, etc.)
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement efforts
