About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Patient Registration & Assistant Biller to support our growing Laborist Group. This hybrid role requires independent work, strong judgment, and professionalism while supporting both hospital partners and our revenue cycle team. Requirements

• Prior experience in OB-GYN, women’s health, L&D, or medical registration/billing
• Strong working knowledge of insurance verification and payer requirements
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence interacting with hospital staff and patients
• High attention to detail and accountability for accuracy
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AthenaOne (Athenahealth)
• Familiarity with Nevada and Arizona payers, including Medicaid

Responsibilities

• Travel to local hospitals to retrieve face sheets, provider charges, and documentation
• Build and maintain professional relationships with Admissions, Medical Records, and L&D staff
• Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance, and documentation into AthenaOne
• Proactively verify and update insurance; clearly explain billing processes to patients
• Assist with claim holds, documentation review, and revenue cycle workflows
• Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and high accuracy in all work
