About The Position

Fairview has an immediate opening for an Admissions Financial Representative at Lakes Medical Center. This position is approved for a 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The schedule rotates on a two-week basis: Week 1: Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Week 2: Monday and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is responsible for completing the financial clearance process within patient access which includes scheduling and registration activities. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate behaviors that create a welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and other customers. The Admission Financial Representative (AFR) must be able to articulate information in a manner that ensures patients, guarantors and family members have clear expectations and understand their financial responsibilities.

Requirements

1 year of customer service experience
1 year of applicable computer knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
Previous experience in a clinical setting with registration experience

Responsibilities

Provide scheduling and registration support for patients.
