Patient Registrar - Hudson Valley Medical Group
About The Position
Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigate through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization. This is a full-time 40-hour work week located at our Hudson Valley practice in Cortlandt Manor. Hours may vary based on operational needs. Must be willing to travel and provide coverage across the various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed including Croton-On-Hudson & Cold Spring. All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
Requirements
- At least one year of clerical and customer service experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP
Nice To Haves
- Completed some college coursework
- Familiar with health insurance requirements
- Experience working in a busy medical practice
- Knowledge of Coding: ICD/CPT
