About The Position

The Patient Registrar provides high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and staff in a respectful, positive manner. Provides appointment scheduling and registration service for patients. Interviews all incoming patients to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility. Supports clinical staff and providers with obtaining patient paperwork and/or patient care, as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Strong typing skills/speed.
• Comfort in answering phones and speaking with customers on the phone.
• Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
• Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.
• Performs in-office collection activities; collection of co-pays, writing receipts and balancing end of day deposit.
