Patient Registrar Surgical - Orthopedics - Queens Medical Group The Patient Registrar Surgical is responsible for scheduling patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures, including Pre-Admission Testing. This role involves providing high-level clerical support to the practice or provider assigned. This is a full time 36.25 weekly hours: Monday - Friday, day position. This position is located in Fresh Meadows, Queens.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior administrative secretarial experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management expertise.

Responsibilities
- Answer patient phone calls courteously and professionally.
- Maintain administrative and clinical calendars.
- Perform schedule changes and manage the scheduling system.
- Prepare physician forms/applications for signature.
- Schedule patients' surgery and pre-test appointments.
- Ensure pre-operative clearances are obtained.
- Monitor physician schedules.
- Facilitate radiologic and surgical procedure peer-to-peer requests.
- Ensure proper communication with providers and patients.
- Develop effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers.
