About The Position

Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) is seeking a Patient Registrar/Insurance Authorization to join their Family Health Clinic. The Patient Registrar will be responsible for basic office operations, including maintaining medical records, monitoring charges, scheduling, and tracking departmental statistics. This role supports the delivery of care by ensuring efficient clinic patient operations and may involve adapting to evolving policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory and payer agencies.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Experience in Medicare and Medicaid billing.
  • 3 years of business operations experience, preferably in the health care industry.

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic office operations that support the clinic.
  • Assisting with the delivery of care by maintaining medical records.
  • Providing daily monitoring of records and charges.
  • Scheduling.
  • Daily, monthly tracking of departmental statistics.
  • Performing a variety of clerical duties and other duties pertinent to clinic patient operations.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory and payer agencies.
