About The Position

This office-based role supports hospital operations, patient safety, and care continuity. The Patient Throughput Specialist (PTS) coordinates patient movement during inpatient stays, ensuring patients are placed with the right care team at the right time. This role utilizes EPIC and other tools to remotely triage patients, manage consults, and support seamless hospital operations, while collaborating closely with the Transfer Center, Emergency Department, and consulting services. It is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical reasoning, working with data and systems, and remaining connected to patient care without the physical demands of bedside nursing.

Requirements

• Experienced nurse
• Proficiency in EPIC
• Ability to work with data and systems
• Strong clinical reasoning skills
