The majority of this role is spent in a virtual patient monitoring environment, not at the bedside. Patient Monitor Tech/CNAs work from a business office near St. Luke’s Medical Center, where they are responsible for remotely observing 8–12 patients simultaneously to help maintain safety and report concerns to the care team. There is limited in-person responsibility, requiring occasional onsite shifts at St. Luke’s Medical Center (approximately once every 6 weeks) as a patient sitter or CNA.
