About The Position

Adventist Health and Rideout is seeking a Patient Mobility Technician to transport patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility and provide safe patient transfer assistance using approved assistive devices and procedures in an acute hospital setting. The role also supports bedside nursing staff, maintains mobility equipment, and assists with meal tray delivery and setup.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, as required by Adventist Health policy.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with bedside nursing staff before and after each patient interaction.
• Assist patients with bed mobility and repositioning.
• Safely transfer patients between beds, chairs, toilets or commodes, and gurneys, including return transfers.
• Clean and maintain wheelchairs, gurneys, and lift equipment, and ensure equipment is available for the next use.
• Deliver and set up meal trays.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
