Patient Mobility Technician - Per Diem, Variable Shift
About The Position

Job Summary: Maintains responsibility for the transportation of patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility. Provides safe patient transfer assistance using approved assistive devices and procedures in the acute hospital setting.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Consults with bedside nursing staff prior to and after each patient interaction.
- Assists patient in bed mobility and repositioning.
- Provides safe patient transfers (bed to chair, toilet/commode, bed to gurney and return).
- Cleans and maintains equipment, such as wheelchairs, gurneys and lift equipment and ensures availability for next use.
- Provides meal tray delivery and set up.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
