Under general supervision, the Patient Hospitality Service Representative is responsible for transporting, operating, and maintaining the Retherm (thermal trays) cart and its companion cart. This role involves providing individualized meal service to every patient, assembling patient meal trays according to diet orders, and ensuring diet accuracy. The representative will consult with nursing staff to maintain accurate patient information, collect patient meal trays, and follow established sanitation procedures for cleaning equipment. Additionally, they will maintain and deliver nourishment supplies as ordered to patient floor units, follow established guidelines for food items in patient units, and record food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures daily to ensure food safety. Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a large and busy healthcare provider in New England, emphasizing community-based care and providing accessible health services. It is also a primary teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine and a founding partner of Boston HealthNet. This position is part of the Food & Nutrition Services department and is a Full Time role with rotating Day/Evening shifts.
