Our surgeons offer the latest in diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum and anus. In addition to full training in general surgery, our colorectal surgeons have completed advanced training in the treatment of colorectal problems, and therefore, play an important role in the effective treatment of patients with colorectal diseases. Our surgeons work closely with colleagues in gastroenterology, oncology, urology and other specialties to ensure that you receive comprehensive and supportive care. We treat a wide variety of intestinal conditions including, but not limited to: Colon cancer screening Colon / rectal cancer Colon polyps Inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis Diverticulitis and diverticular disease Anal problems such as hemorrhoids, fistula, fissure and anal dysplasia Motility problems of the colon, such as constipation and fecal incontinence Surgical repair of rectal prolapse Outpatient colonoscopy & flexible sigmoidoscopy As an Patient Financial Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to provide direct support to our patients assisting with registering patients, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays and deductibles for addiction medicine. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. University Medical Center Phoenix is a nationally recognized academic medical center. Additionally, the campus responsibilities include fully integrated multi-specialty and sub-specialty clinics and has operations in multiple locations spanning across the Phoenix metropolitan city. POSITION SUMMARY This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.
