The Bilingual Patient Financial Advocate is responsible for screening patients on-site at hospitals for eligibility assistance programs either bedside or in the ER. This includes providing information and reports to client contact(s), keeping them current on our progress. The role requires identifying self-pay patients, screening them for State, County, and/or Federal eligibility assistance programs, and initiating the application process. The advocate will also introduce Firstsource services, provide transitions to other specialists, record patient information, and document screening results. Additional duties include maintaining positive working relationships with hospital staff, reporting occurrences to management, accessing patient information as needed, keeping logs, meeting goals, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to company policies and the Corporate Compliance Program.
