The Patient Financial Advocate is responsible for screening patients on-site at hospitals for eligibility assistance programs either bedside or in the ER. This includes providing information and reports to client contact(s), keeping them current on our progress. The role involves identifying self-pay patients, screening them for various assistance programs, and initiating the application process. The advocate will also introduce patients to Firstsource services, provide transitions to other specialists, and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and results in designated systems. Additionally, the role requires maintaining positive working relationships with hospital staff, reporting significant occurrences, and assisting with account information as needed. Meeting performance goals, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to company policies and compliance programs are also key aspects of the position.
