About The Position

We partner with health systems, community health centers, plans, and employers to remove barriers to care to ensure all people have access to the care they deserve. We are looking for Patient Engagement Specialists to play an important role at AndHealth. This is an onsite position located at our Health Center partner site in Ohio.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain.
  • Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of OH required.
  • Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
  • Must be organized and able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input patient data, insurance information, and prescriptions into the pharmacy management system.
  • Count, pour, and label medications efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support patients at the pickup counter, resolving insurance rejections, and providing clear communication regarding medication status.
  • Execute stocking, cycle counts, and managing outdated inventory.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist to gather clinical documentation and submitting prior authorizations for medication including high-cost specialty drugs if needed.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and manufacturers to help patients access financial assistance programs or copay cards.
  • Conduct outreach calls to specialty patients to schedule refills and ensure they are following their prescribed therapy.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive biologics and specialty injectables.
  • Maintain flexibility to provide on-site support or cross-site remote assistance, ensuring operational continuity as business needs evolve.
  • Support other projects based on business needs.
