About The Position

CareTalk Health is a fully remote, nationwide virtual medical practice that partners with Medicare Advantage plans to deliver Annual Wellness Visits and close care gaps. We believe virtual care is care delivered the way patients actually want it, and our job is to make that experience simple, reliable, and human. We are seeking experienced Patient Engagement Specialists to join our Telehealth Services team. This role involves leveraging CareTalk's platform, client systems, and specialized tools to provide exceptional patient service through effective communication, problem-solving, and product knowledge. You will handle a blend of outbound and inbound calls, address inquiries, resolve issues, ensure patient satisfaction, and communicate program benefits to drive consumer action. This role is pivotal in supporting healthcare providers and patients through tasks such as scheduling medical appointments, engaging in Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), managing documentation and record-keeping, and ensuring effective patient engagement and communication.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients remotely.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage virtual visits and appointment schedules efficiently.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Computer: Windows or Apple Computer ONLY (NO Chromebooks, Linux Machines, or Smartphones) Must have at least Windows 10 or MacOS 13.
  • Headphones: Wired headphones required for optimal audio quality.
  • Internet Speed: Meet minimum internet speed requirements (50 MBPS download speed and 20 MBPS upload speed), with a wired connection to the router. Must have an ethernet cable connecting computer directly into router.
  • Browser and System: Use Google Chrome with Amazon Workspaces (regardless of computer type).
  • Video Capability Required: Required for video calls. (Webcam) Laptops will come with a built in webcam which is fine. If it doesn’t you’ll need to get one.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic health assessments, and health education.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently schedule and coordinate medical appointments between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Manage calendar appointments and send reminders to ensure timely healthcare delivery.
  • Help the patient complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) to prepare the doctor before the visit.
  • Answer calls from patients and prospective patients.
  • Reschedule appointments.
  • Document all interactions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are informed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
