Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Three years of stockroom experience.
May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
Some individuals may be required to pass the DOT physical.

Responsibilities

Assume a Lead Role in staff oversight, providing direction and supervision to complement supervisors, management, and other leadership, or act as an information specialist during project or systems management or initiation.
Maintain supply inventory records through daily counts and on-hand justification, performing scheduled Cycle Counts and ensuring staff adheres to standard protocols for supply issuance from the centralized storeroom.
Identify expired items and goods, ensuring the quality of supplies is maintained by verifying stock rotation using the FIFO methodology.
Periodically inspect inventory for package integrity and ensure staff compliance with storeroom cleanliness, including trash removal, cardboard disposal, and regular floor sweeping.
Assist with staff training for all inventory issuance and record-keeping processes to track charges and the flow of inventory from point of entry to the storeroom and to patient care areas and ancillary departments.
Participate in or oversee necessary training activities for all staff related to storeroom initiatives, including inventory maintenance and all storeroom functions as directed by department leadership and management.
Assist in performance reviews and advise leadership on staff performance and opportunities for improvement.
