About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate I. This is a full time, rotating shift position with rotating weekends. Hours are Monday - Friday, with availability for a 12-hour shift between 6am - 7pm, and rotating weekends. The role is responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, communicating patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services, and interacting with Nursing regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements. The associate will assist the dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake for patients on intake analysis. Reacting accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets is crucial. Familiarity with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction is expected. The position is responsible for patient satisfaction on assigned units.

Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equivalent
  • Food Handlers Card (Required at time of hire)
  • Previous customer service experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of food service experience may be considered in lieu of High School Education
  • Previous food service experience (Preferred)
