About The Position

As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital. This role involves helping patients navigate the registration process, answering their questions with confidence and compassion, and gathering accurate information in a fast-paced environment. You will build trust with patients during potentially stressful times. No prior healthcare background is required, as R1 provides comprehensive training, making this role an excellent launchpad for a healthcare career. You will make a real difference by providing support and reassurance to patients, learn healthcare fundamentals from insurance basics to hospital workflows, and thrive in a dynamic environment balancing accuracy with compassion while working alongside clinical and emergency staff. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

  • Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
