About The Position

As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital. You will help patients navigate the registration process, answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion, and gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment. You will build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed. No healthcare background is required, as R1 provides comprehensive training and this role serves as a fantastic launchpad for a growing healthcare career. This role involves making a real difference by being a calm and helpful presence, learning healthcare workflows, and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work across multiple computer systems, answer phones, assist patients who may be ill or anxious, navigate diverse insurance plans, and adapt to interruptions from clinical teams. This is an active role requiring you to be on your feet and think fast.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements
