About The Position

This role is for a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration at R1, an industry leader in healthcare revenue management. You will be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, helping them navigate the registration process, answering questions, gathering accurate information, and building trust during potentially stressful times. No prior healthcare background is required as comprehensive training will be provided, making this role a fantastic launchpad for a growing healthcare career. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

  • Help patients navigate the registration process
  • Answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion
  • Gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed
  • Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
  • Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
  • Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused
  • Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training!)
  • Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
  • Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
