As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital, helping them navigate the registration process, answering questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion, gathering accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment, and building trust with patients during stressful times. No healthcare background is required, as training will be provided, and this role serves as a launchpad for a healthcare career.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Medical or healthcare experience (but not required!)

Responsibilities

  • Help patients navigate the registration process
  • Answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion
  • Gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed
  • Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
  • Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
  • Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused
  • Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training!)
  • Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
  • Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
